Rescue work is not easy, it can at times be extremely upsetting and stressful

and so at times we do have to rely on members of the public for their patience and understanding.

In an ideal world people and/or groups like us would not be required,

it is up to everyone all around the county to help improve the conditions

and lives of the animals around them. Not until people realise and accept that we are all

at fault will the lives of those who are suffering begin to change for the better.

Clare Animal Welfare was formed in 2000 and in 2004 became a Limited Company

Without Share Capital following incorporation through the Companies Registration Office.

We are a Registered Charity, No 15143 and would like to reassure anyone who is concerned about

donating to us that ALL moneys received by us goes towards the animals in our care or in need around

the county. We DO NOT sell animals. All dogs and cats rehomed directly from us are

spayed/neutered prior to being rehomed (if dogs are too young for the procedure you will be required to sign

a Spay/Neuter Agreement Form when adopting which has to be signed both by you and your vet

and returned to us once the operation has been performed)

It was always intended that some day we would have our own sanctuary where all the animals

could reside together but unfortunately due to financial restraints and a lack of backing

we have not yet achieved this goal. All our members work on a completely voluntary basis

and have to continuously juggle their personal lives in order to help animals in need.

As a small group whereby we would love to be able to do

and offer so much more for the animals in need all around our county it is simply

not possible and therefore a lot of the time we end up saying “no” to people who contact us

when we would really like to be able to say “yes”.
